Cruel sport for sure. I still feel bad for Garret Gore. I think it was him that cost us title against Oregon State making routine throw from second. My grandad was coach at UNC back in the day and was speaker with coach Fox at a hot stove. My grandad told Coach Fox he felt so bad for him (Gore) obsessively and every time I watched UNC baseball with him till he passed he’d bring up how bad he felt for him, all he could think about. Another relative of mine came to UNC from Wesleyan with Coach Fox. No other program in the country more deserving of a national title than UNC. My Pirates should have a CWS appearance and Heels should have multiple titles. How the game goes just like life.
It was Brian Steed

Guys had a great season. Obviously hate to see it end like that.

I feel I failed them as a fan … I had several fan jinx moments the last two days. Yesterday before the game I started thinking ahead to how to manage a family event next weekend during the CWS. Sooooo dumb!

Then today finished my book too soon — in the 7th inning! I’ve been reading the same novel in the regionals between inning and during AZ at bats to keep calm and got into it and finished too quickly. Right after the error I tried reading the acknowledgements and then started another book but it was too late. Gaaaaah.

I feel like I need to write them a fan apology.

I think I have you beat

The 8th was the first inning of college baseball I’ve watched this season

Sorry everyone

After that error? That many pitches thrown, two on, none out, he almost had to pull him, IMO.
I still disagree. He gave up a ground ball that found a gap and another ground ball that is a DP 19 out of 20 times. They were still not hitting him hard. If the choice was between Lynch staying in or bringing in a McDuffie that got hit hard the day before I would have stuck with Lynch absolutely.

Forbes might have taken him out due to his worry about his head. Lynch is an 18 year old freshman pitching in the rubber game of the Supers in the 8th inning where your 2nd baseman just let a routine dp go through his legs. Heck, my head was messed up and I was just observing the game as a fan on TV.

About 10 days late to post this but do you guys remember the shortstop for OU that your fans hated - Jaxon Willits?

His little brother Eli went #1 overall to the Nats. Was hoping that maybe he could make it to Norman but that wasn't really going to happen. The same thing happened with Bobby Witt Jr. a few years ago. Both dads (Willits and Witt) played for OU. Of course with that type of money legacy isn't going to get you to go to school.
