He's too good to sit. He also knows he will be too young to go to the NBA and the plan is for him to be at Duke for two years, but I understand the cope.
 
The team looks to be shaping up well for next season. Maybe not a single player as good as Caleb and Henri, but collectively it could be a better team overall compared to this past season's.

Agreed. Not the high end talent of Caleb, but more athletic, more well rounded and MM will not get out-coached every outing.
 
duke will have more NIL $ in their bench than most schools will for their entire roster. Crazy stuff

I wonder if they would have taken JBB this year if Malone wasn’t trying to make a push for him

Every player who reclassed to head to Duke a year early deeply regretted it, as far as I can tell. Names like Trevon Duval ring a bell? There was another PG too who reclassed and then K shit on him.

We appreciate you taking the time to help JBB get accustomed to life in the Triangle. He will be more seasoned when he gets to us.
 
dook acquiring JBB means they have money to burn as he's likely the 10th man on their bench next season where he would have been in the regular rotation at UNC. I definitely think dook did made the substantial offer to him, in part, to keep him out of our lineup.

Some are estimating that dook's roster is in the $25M to $31M range.

I am pretty certain Cooper Flagg enrolled early.

JBB is about a half year younger than Flagg was when enrolling at duke

This is closer to a 2 year reclass. Which I can’t remember other examples of

dook looks deeper than anyone out there:

Guards: Boozer, Blackwell, Foster, Rippy
Wings: Sarr, Howard
Forward/Centers: JBB, Wilkins, Williams, Ngongba, Sharnowksi, Meyer

No one does less with more
