Portal closed last night with a few exceptions (like UNC) of coaching changes.

Not everyone learns the same way. I was a lot like that for my core courses in college. I couldn't stand being in a class with 100 people and just listening to the professor, or even worse a TA, talk for over an hour with subjects I had already had in school. The only classes I really cared about were the ones for my major. Also, sounds like he could be going through a little bit of depression.

If May is really on the move, we should check out the portal players committed to Michigan. The portal is only closed for new players entering, right? At first glance they have a 6'11 PF and a 7'0 C...

It wasn't his learning issues I was referring to. I teach people his age every day and have a great relationship and way of teaching them. I detest lecture with a passion and agree with him on that. I am specifically referring to his constant "im not", "i can't" references. He is telling you thay he isnt willing to do anything in any area of his life unless it is precisely what he deems important in that moment.

I don't agree.

Many Neurodivergent people struggle with traditional learning environments. I struggled in college in classes such as he described, not size, rather the class where the professor lectures for 90 minutes. Classes with a lot of interaction i did much better with.

i think that WM's initial assessment that the kid is a 100% grade A lazy wuss is definitley harsh, he's apparently a very fast / competitive long distance runner but he did say can't / no / won't a LOT in that video.

he needs to understand that he definitely isn't done learning just because he figured out this one particular thing about himself at the tender age of 18.

Based on that, it looks like one could put together a pretty good team with every player having the first name of Jalen.
