Combo guard who shot <33% from “3” last season (29.4% for his career). 3.8 apg to 2.4 TO per game last season.

I hope Malone can coach him up!
 
I still feel like we desperately need a three point shooter. A lot will depend on the fifth year rule, but are thetr other shooting options out there?

We are not a"contender" right now But first year Coach Malone is putting together a good team and Maybe the core of a Contender next year???
We need more three point shooting and honestly we need some Beef up front. My guess he will grap either if he can get it. He has the scholarships to get some version of both . "Big Stars" are not much available for either

I haven't seen many of these guys play and almost none play together. I ain't gonna judge our or any team on individual videos against uneven competition. How would any of you have any kind of clue? I think we can say we have some good prospects but we're a good six months early from knowing if we're any good.
 
I could see us “developing” a couple of these young guys only for them to leave us after this season. I don’t see the upside in getting projects anymore.

There 2-3 teams that have returning stars-or portal stars. Yes the rest of us are guessing

He's been playing point guard since high school and has improved every year since then, grinding his way from a 3 star up through mid-major, high-major, to UNC.

Brown is the least of our concerns, and he'll have competent players around him to ease the burden.

I’ll be honest me seeing a guy play doesn’t trump what people who do that type of thing for a living say.

It’s also relative to what the other teams in the ACC have. When you say this team looks like a .500 team in the ACC you’re saying about half the teams are better off.

I doubt they've seen them all play and I know they haven't seen them play together. Hell, does anybody even know what style we are going to play.

It's mostly that one of my biggest pet peeves is the seeming obligation to form an immediate opinion on almost any issue despite how scanty your information is or how unnecessary it really is for you to have one. I didn't mean it to seem personal. You just provided the soapbox.

I do like the way things are shaping up but it still feels incomplete and there's so little we don't know about fit, style and chemistry. I'm a long way from saying we're even a good team, much less compare us to teams I know even less about.

I'm done with it. Y'all have fun with it.
 
I'm hoping the combination of Malone being a good x's and o's coach and the ACC continuing to be pretty mediocre gives a good shot at at least being decent next season and then year 2 can be the big jump
 
Alright, you guys heard the man. Pack it up and leave the thread. No more discussion about the team until the end of next season when we have a full sample size to form an opinion from.
