I figured it would be good to have a thread dedicated to the portal and transfers. So far, Evans, Young, Denis, Powell, Brown and Dixon have entered the portal. I was hoping Dixon would stay. I wouldn't mind Powell staying, too, to have a guard off the bench. Evans, Young, Denis and Brown wouldn't be a big loss. Looks like they might need to get a lot of players from the portal, though, if all of them actually leave. Hopefully, Veesaar returns and Mingo and Adams still come.

Also Kim English is joining the coaching staff... huge pick up for Malone, adding a former head coach.

I like that Malone is balancing the coaching staff with a few holdovers and outside hires with lots of college basketball experience - imo the first mistake Coach Davis made was his insistance that the coaching staff could only come from former UNC basketball players

Dixon is that oddity.

A 2-guard who is an OK PG.

He’s that mythical “combo” guard who is a decent PG and SG.

Generally, a “combo guard” is a shortish guard who isn’t a PG and who doesn’t shoot well.

That’s not Dixon.

Yeah, great utility guard upside.
I guess there is some Brogdon potential there there...I just see Bobby in him
