UNC @ Charlotte

Bill is gonna be the first ever coach with 12 preseason games this year if the homer horde on IC has their way.

I'm boycotting the Cal game if we can't look a hell of lot more impressive the next three games. I am very worried we are going to be 2-3 going into the Cal game.
 
Our talent level is suspect at best, our assistant coaches are suspect (especially on offense), and it seems increasingly clear that Bill's learning curve for college football is going to take a good while.
 
i dont see more than 3 wins. if you dont see the lack of talent now after uncc who couldnt beat some top high school teams then you have a severe case of alumni fever. boy has unc been duped hiring that old has been and allowing him to trump up his staff with friennds and family. just embarrassing stuff from our admin and fans.

I was simply comparing how the first two games started - and how they commenced after that. Both games started with a great looking drive of only a few plays ending in a sweet TD - making it look very easy. Then, shortly after that, things went squirrely. The first game against a tough opponent went South quickly and kept going down. The 2nd game wasn't much better over all, but it was against a terribly weak opponent so we were able to win - but only putting up 20 pts. We looked pretty shitty in both games after that first drive. That's what the hell my comment was about.

StrangerPackage was likely agreeing with, commenting on the team, not your comment.

Regardless, the opening drive compared to the rest of the game has been very confusing. Weird, weird season.

I hate the whole "Charlotte" thing. I didn't go to school at "Charlotte", I went to UNCC. I don't know anyone who went to school there who refers to it as "Charlotte." I understand why they are trying to carve out a unique identity since UNCC confuses too many people, but "Charlotte" is a big miss.

My hazy memory is there was a controversial play at the end of the game where the refs missed a call and screwed UNCC denying us an all UNC school national championship game.

It involved Jerome Whitehead for Marquette. I think he blocked a shot that was actually a goal tending ?
