No one is arguing that this has been anything other than an unmitigated F- disaster of a season thus far. I simply choose to believe a coach of BB’s known ability has a chance to turn this around between now and next season. If you think that makes be a dim/ gullible person then so be it but I choose to remain a fan and supporter of UNC.

You are talking to people who i guarantee have fan credentials that far exceed your own in every way. How many letters do you have at Carolina? How many scholarships endowed? How many times have you spent a season on the sidelines of Kenan rather than in the seats?

Excited? I don’t think so. Cautiously optimistic seems more like it. In my mind I was remembering Mack’s first year back which was an improvement over Fedora’s last couple of years, and thought we would see something similar. I was so wrong.

All right, what he said has nothing to do with Carolina, or even football really. Feels dirty defending him, but I call em like I see em always.

He's saying that the most successful NFL coach of all time *might* be able to do better than *worst coach in P5 football* with a realistic sample size. I mean, let's say he bombed every single decision, as Calheel said. Can he learn from his mistakes? Well, he did his whole life in the pros. Maybe he can't, but it's not unreasonable to consider the possibility.

Take everything to 11. Never claimed to have played or coached at UNC. I can’t imagine too many folks here (other than perhaps yourself) fall into that category.

I have been a Rams Club member my entire adult life and , until recently, a BZ season ticket holder so it’s not like I’m some random Walmart fan spouting off on a message board.

He’s 73. The old dog isn’t learning new tricks. And he’s so bad now, even if he did learn new tricks, we’d still be mediocre at best.

I didnt take anything anywhere other than where you took it. The last line of your post was meant to insinuate that not trusting Belichick is tantamount to not continuing to be a UNC fan. You started the fanship measurement there. Not me. I don't question the fanhood of others but I'm happy to compare. And no, I did not play football at Carolina. I wasn't referring to myself only with my response when I mentioned letters at UNC. I did work around the program for about 8 years and have spent an awful lot of days and nights in Kenan and Boshamer.
 


I’m really shocked that Clemson did not run up the score and that they pulled their starters at halftime. It is very obvious that game could’ve been whatever they wanted it to be. It could have been 80 to 3 if they had wanted it. Tony Elliott is probably the only other nice coach on this schedule that won’t try to run it up. Maine Diaz and Dave Doreen certainly will.
