Maybe we should send him over to Duke Medical……they seem to have better foot doctors than UNC.
 
Y'all know I've been a "I'm not sure a 72-year-old Bill Belichick is going to flourish at coaching college ball for the first time" skeptic- and I recognize that this is an ESPN feel-good puff piece of sorts- but it's difficult for me to read this and not get pretty excited about the possibilities...

Just finished watching a replay of the 2015 ACC championship. So close! BS offsides call at the end that wasn’t even close. Ready for some Heels’ football! Everyone starts 0-0 😀 Believe the parking decks will open around 8a next Monday. Going to be a crazy scene! Can’t wait!
 
Maybe im just cranky about the world in general, but I find myself completely lacking any enthusiasm at all about UNC football starting next week. I cant tell you who is starting at a single position.

Yeah the framing of the rest of the season relies on the TCU game … if UNC comes out and lays an egg, all the media waiting eagerly to turn this to a beatdown of the Chapel Bill experiment will have a field day. And that could directly impact recruiting (which will already face the uphill battle against the “he won’t even be there after this year” due to age or NFL opportunities claims of opposing coaches) and fan engagement.
 
I wasn’t suggesting that. Recall 2015. But there is A LOT of focus on this opening game (probably the most in UNC’s history) so my hope is that we take advantage of it. If not, plenty of time to regroup.
 
Is the Belichick Regime demonstrating that it keeps everything so close to its chest that nothing gets out or has Inside Carolina gone so “Premium” that little gets out or do a huge percentage of UNC fans just not care anymore?

I think people care and interest is up, but the online world has been significantly disrupted by several factors - Belichick being tighter with info, the IC network transition and major changes to the world of player acquisition/retention which was a driver of online activity.

Yeah, I'm not so sure of that anymore. For the first time on my life, I really don't care much at all about UNC athletics
 
Overall interest is up as evidenced by our selling out Kenan for the season. Monday night viewership will be off the charts. As others have noted, it’s just that online interest is down for the reasons articulated. It will pick up this week now that the season is starting.

Can’t wait to watch some actual games today.
