There's nothing wrong with it. There's also nothing wrong with giggling at it for what it is.I'm late to the party, so forgive me if y'all have already discussed this, but what is wrong with BB and UNC putting this statement out?

I agree. Though it does seem like a few folks are more affected by it than simply giggling. There's nothing wrong with it. There's also nothing wrong with giggling at it for what it is.
Of course it matters if anyone OTHER than our idiotic Chancellor and BOT Head want to hire Bill Belichick. You are being obtuse.it matters not at all if he is hireable.it matters that there is a perception among many that he might leave and this affects recruits, portal, fans, etc. He has removed that. But you understand that. So why are you pursuing this?
It’s laughably stupid?I'm late to the party, so forgive me if y'all have already discussed this, but what is wrong with BB and UNC putting this statement out?
Perhaps. I disagree. When you have folks in the national media talking about it, it can quickly and easily get used for negative recruiting. Having said that, even if you think it's stupid, to quote cford, why get "triggered" by it?It’s laughably stupid?
The negative recruiting is becauseI agree. Though it does seem like a few folks are more affected by it than simply giggling.
Personally, I think it's a good move as I'm sure they're facing a ton of negative recruiting right now.
Who is triggered?Perhaps. I disagree. When you have folks in the national media talking about it, it can quickly and easily get used for negative recruiting. Having said that, even if you think it's stupid, to quote cford, why get "triggered" by it?
Those most likely contribute to negative recruiting, as does recruits believing he's not going to be there in a year. It seems to me that they are trying to remove those things which can/could lead to negative recruiting. That doesn't sound stupid to me.The negative recruiting is because
- We suck
- Our head coach is 73 and just finishing his first year coaching college football
- Our staff is mediocre at best
- We’re sub-500 in the ACC
- We put a BAD offense on the field each week
- The defense? It might be improving. Or, is it playing Cal, Stanford, Syracuse?
Who is triggered?
I think it’s that Zoo would rather us not be spending 10 million to suck and rebuild with a 73 year oldThose most likely contribute to negative recruiting, as does recruits believing he's not going to be there in a year. Clearly you seem to be bothered by this, or perhaps it's just that you would rather BB and UNC fail than not.![]()
So, root for UNC to lose so that BB gets fired. I just don't get that. I'd prefer the BB experiment turn out to be a great success.I think it’s that Zoo would rather us not be spending 10 million to suck and rebuild with a 73 year old
I havent seen anyone rooting for UNC to lose. And BB isnt getting fired no matter what. So, root for UNC to lose so that BB gets fired. I just don't get that. I'd prefer the BB experiment turn out to be a great success.
I'm not buying it for some. The team is clearly improving. Would you prefer UNC to continue improving under BB or turn into a shitshow and BB get fired?I havent seen anyone rooting for UNC to lose. And BB isnt getting fired no matter what.
I never root for UNC to lose. So, root for UNC to lose so that BB gets fired. I just don't get that. I'd prefer the BB experiment turn out to be a great success.
Except, the team is improving, while under Mack the program was continuing in the opposite direction. You refuse to acknowledge this. I could totally understand if your stance was that they're not improving fast enough for your liking, but to totally try to shit on any improvement makes no sense, if you indeed do want them to win. You're not an irrational person. Thus, it truly seems as if you don't want them to succeed.I never root for UNC to lose.
I’ll never root for UNC to lose.
So, go fuck yourself on that front.
I do expect UNC to lose under Bill Belichick because he is WAY past his prime AND he brought in a shitty staff and I watch us play. UNC is not good.
It’s like Mack 2.0 after the 3rd or 4th year. The milk had soured. With Belichick, the milk was bad from Day One…….and our brilliant leaders agreed to pay Big Beautiful Bill Belichick $10 million a year and let him hire his kids, his BFF, and his BFF’s son.
Turn into a shit show?I'm not buying it for some. The team is clearly improving. Would you prefer UNC to continue improving under BB or turn into a shitshow and BB get fired?
Who has UNC beaten to demonstrate improvement?Except, the team is improving, while under Mack the program was continuing in the opposite direction. You refuse to acknowledge this. Oh, you can go fuck yourself too.
Can you only show improvement if you win the game?Who has UNC beaten to demonstrate improvement?
Go. Fuck. Yourself.I'm not buying it for some. The team is clearly improving. Would you prefer UNC to continue improving under BB or turn into a shitshow and BB get fired?
You wouldn’t consider finishing 8-5 a good turnaround for the season, given where this team started and the lack of talent on the roster?Turn into a shit show?
UNC is 4-5 with wins over Charlotte, Syracuse, Richmond, and Stanford.
The losses are to the Murderers Row of TCU, Clemson, Cal, UVA, and Central Florida.
We score less than 20 ppg….take away the Richmond game and we’re <16 ppg.
We’re the national punchline of the 2025 college football season.
And, we’re dogs to Wake this afternoon…..and will be dogs to d00k and ncsulol.
I hope we win out and go 7-5. That won’t mean much because Wake, d00k, and ncsulol are not good teams.
I hope we win our meaningless bowl game if we make one.
If miracles happen and the Heels finish 8-5, we still suck. Who would UNC have defeated?
Will Bill Belichick fire his buddies and relatives who need firing and hire good people to replace them? I have zero confidence he’ll do so.
So, 2026 will likely be a rehash of 2025.
