Just talked to a buddy who played football at unc who called me a bit out of the blue. We used to play a lot of golf together. Asked him thoughts on BB and they kind of mirror mine. He's still on board. But I found out he actually talked with BB couple weeks ago and he described BB and Lombardi as being "almost giddy" about upcoming portal saying they know they need a top level QB and believe they are much better prepared this time around. Take FWIW

Completely embarrassing that some of yall can’t handle respectful criticism of our multi-millionaire coaches without calling people’s UNC fandom into question or outright insinuating that they want UNC to lose. Get a damn grip. Grow up and accept that not everyone has to be a pom-pom waving homer at all times. We are 4-5 and we have looked like the worst of the Torbush/Bunting/Fedora eras for most of the season to date. You want people to not be critical of our $20 million football staff? Win football games against teams with a pulse. Today is a great day to start!

I'm assuming you're talking about me. I think some here, based off of posts, would prefer UNC to implode to get rid of BB. I might be completely wrong.

I don't understand how/why you switch back and forth on this team. You'll talk about how the staff has done a nice job turning it around and how the team is improving, then you make posts like this.

Yes, hopefully they play well today and win.

It’s not directed at you in particular, just saying in general that it’s absolutely wrong for anyone to think anyone else here *wants* UNC to lose. I’ve feel like I’ve seen multiple posters insinuate it this season. I certainly don’t mean to seem like I’m calling you out in particular- apologies if that’s how it came across.

And I’m not intending to be “switching back and forth.” I think I am pretty clear that I think that this Belichick thing isn’t going to work out in the long run, but that I am also open to giving it a chance to do so while also hoping like hell that it does. I also just think that if I’m going to be as critical as I have been, I also need to objectively note when I do see stuff that is laudable.

i take their giddiness around QB play with a grain of salt

Not sure if you misread. The giddiness was related to upcoming portal and their belief they can get top QB. They said they fell better prepared for the portal this time. Not giddy about QB play. Just sharing.
