If she were doing it as an actual statement against Kraft and not using UNC as a platform to broadcast Bill's grievances, I would be fine. But using the Duke game as a moment to go after the owner of the franchise our former star plays for the day before the Super Bowl...nah.

I'm just saying - I think this kind of pettiness towards somebody who legitimately deserves it is a much better look for her than attacking journalists and worming her way into an actual UNC-related job for which she is ridiculously unqualified. She hurts the program in essentially all she does, but at least this is a little funny compared to the mean antagonism of the other stuff. She even looks like she's had work done to tone down the MAGA face she was sporting previously.

Which job? Are you referring to PR oriented things that someone had to do before BB hired Faber?

Somebody had to do that stuff since BB had cleaned house.

Was she needling/worming her way in or had BB just asked her to fill in while waiting for Faber to come on board?

All of the above. She isnt qualified for any official university business. Neither is Lombardi.

It should not have taken 6 months to hire Faber if BB was intent on hiring somebody for PR the whole time, and I'm not credulous enough to believe that the hire coming about 2 days after Pablo Torre's report that she was banned from the building was all coincidence -- the timeline makes it significantly more likely that the intention was for Jordon to basically steal a paycheck doing PR stuff until it blew up in their faces because of the CBS interview and Pablo's investigations.

Here is Brett Faber at spring practive (posted April 12) well before the Pablo report (May 9).


And "Belichick has been having conversations with former Bears V.P. of communications Brandon Faber. The discussions have been occurring for a couple of months." -- reported may 4th, before the Torre report, and before CBS interview airing. Bill Belichick explores hiring outside P.R. help

BB burned down the entire fb program, he struggled just to make timely coaching hires, it shouldn't be a surprise that he would struggle to make timely personal PR hires.

So your assumption of worming and stealing paychecks is weird considering BB was obviously looking for a Faber type in early spring, at least as of March.

had those conversations been about Faber having a full-time job, he would have had the full-time job before it was time to do damage control. it's not like he had a job elsewhere. you can believe what you want to and so can I, and the optics suggest to me that BB/Jordon figured that a little friendly advice would be enough for her to learn the ropes of a job that is not entry level.

it was also an option to not burn everything down, of course, and retain a PR person who had nothing to do with on-field football stuff until Belichick was able to hire a Faber type. But he didn't do that.
 
Rivals has good story about 2027 recruiting class and how we are well positioned with a lot of big targets and poised for another top 20 class.. Said it reaffirms BB's commitment to build through HS recruiting. I love that as a fan.
