I think the broader economic market will have a huge impact as well. It’s a lot easier to write a $1MM check if you are worth $100MM this year, up from $90MM last year. It’s a lot more difficult if you are worth $80MM this year, down from $90MM last. I suspect donors will tighten their purse strings if things continue to go south economically. Thanks, Obama.

I think they've been pretty fair over the years....Staples, Vip, Tommy etc don't blow smoke. I don't have high hopes but Petrino is an elite coordinator...will be interesting to see what he can do.

Going back to the NasCarl and Bunting years, IC never had the balls to say, “We’re going to suck.”

We were going to SUCK.
 
Ironically I think we will probably look a good bit better than last year. Bobby Petrino alone can make the offense look decent to good. The schedule is doing us no favors, though, so we can be better than last year and not have the wins to show for it. We simply didn’t get better enough in the portal this offseason to warrant any optimism that we are going to win very many games.

I used a paywall bypass to read the post. Essentially, Jordon has filed a total of 6 FOIA requests over the past 5 months. They are mostly aimed at any documents or emails UNC has that mention her or Bill's name. One was the result of a Daily Mail FOIA request about her that Jordon asked for UNC to send her whatever they sent the Daily Mail. Its all very paranoid and obsessive. And when these requests come in the top brass are all alerted that she's filed another request so they are definitely keeping tabs on this behavior.

I guess it just depends on what the big donors want. That’s who runs the show for FB and BB.

Me too. I'd normally give a coach two years before making up my mind, but this chick cost Bill the benefit of the doubt. Unless we are in the running for a playoff spot this year -- and we are far more likely to lose 10 games -- then I hope Bill is fired by end of the year.

This season will see improvement. Stop the negativity. Don’t hate a coach just because of his politics.
