Check out outlaw country. There's a difference between country artists who write and sing like they want to make it big and those who sing like they hope to make it through the week.

Sounds about right at this point based on the predictive metrics.

The good news is that our actual resume doesn’t have any bad losses and we still have several chances in front of us to notch some signature wins to bump up our seed line.
 
This ranking isn't over or under seeding us. The predictive metrics aren't the only thing that matters. Our resume based metrics are higher than a 5 seed - Strength of Record is 14th and Wins above Bubble is 17th. So when putting the two together a 5 seed seems about appropriate.

Maybe I'm misreading your post, but I'm fairly certain our metrics are pretty bad right now. Definitely not those of a team higher than a 5 seed.

Underseeding simply means compared to other bracketologists. We are a 4 seed (albeit the last 4 seed) in Bracket Matrix. I don’t think Jerry Palm has ever had us seeded higher than our Bracket Matrix seed and usually it is lower.

Ah, I see. I was basing the seeding off of the current metrics and how they stack up compared to the other teams.

I was just pointing out that Kenpom and Net are predictive metrics which would indicate a lower than 5 seed, but SOR and WAB are resume based metrics that would indicate a better than 5 seed. Basically our wins are better than a 5 seed, but the way we've won them is worse.
 
Pretty sure these midseason CBS brackets are trying to blend a team’s current actual resume with how they are expected to perform for the rest of the season based on predictive metrics, and then seeding from there. In other words, they aren’t just taking the current KenPom rankings and dividing them into groups of 4 to assign the seeds.
