I saw an article this morning (I believe it was CBS Sports, but not sure), that listed the most interesting women's games today and it basically said to ignore the UNC/UConn game because we had no chance at all to win. Of course it may well be correct, but it was still a little depressing to see UNC described as little more than a tune up for UConn until they hit "more serious competition" in their next set of games.Women play #1 UConn tonight at 5pm on ESPN. Heels got their work cut our for them. Good lord, I saw UConn beat Syracuse. At one point they had quintupled the score on Syracuse. UConn looks like a WNBA team. It's other worldly. It's unreal how quick and explosive Sarah Strong can be at her size. They play team basketball too. Fingers crossed, but this is going to be an uphill battle.
I'm sad we couldn't keep her in the state. I'm relieved dook or State couldn't do so.Wish we had been able to keep Strong in-state. She's a beast.
Her dad played at lolstate.I'm sad we couldn't keep her in the state. I'm relieved dook or State couldn't do so.
Yeah, her going out of state was probably the best option for us.Her dad played at lolstate.
Not today it wasn’t.Yeah, her going out of state was probably the best option for us.
I mean, it's UConn, we might have kept it to within 10 if she went to State but then State would have likely been a much better seed, as well. Not today it wasn’t.
They could play 100 times and UConn would probably win 100 times. This was never a fair fight.Too many turnovers to survive against a team like UConn (not that UConn’s defense didn’t have anything to do with it). That and the shots just weren’t falling tonight. We got our share of open looks. Maybe just a young team with a case of the yips.
I think we might sneak one or two out of a hundred, but the number wouldn't be high. They could play 100 times and UConn would probably win 100 times. This was never a fair fight.
