UNC Women's College Basketball 2025-26 Season

Heels looked strong yesterday against Cal. Toomey had another efficient game offensively. Nivar really looked good offensively but does so much more, really hoping Nivar becomes the tough, seasoned leader all really good teams need. Quieroz has got some nice offensive skills. Pooky was not happy that Cal lost but was really excited to be at Carmichael.
 
Watching women’s OT v Syracuse. No announcers at the game. Kinda cool to watch this way.
 
Big win tonight at state - they've pretty much owned us in Raleigh recently - almost as much as we own them in general on the men's side
 
last night's win against Clemson makes it 2 straight Q1 wins after losing their first 4 opportunities. the offense has cooled down but the defense has turned even farther up, so it's looking like a pretty classic Banghart team of late. the x-factors for this team's opportunities to break the current offensive ceiling and get past the S16 are probably Reniya Kelly looking more like her 2025 self and Nyla Brooks rediscovering her jump shot.

Looks so good. I’ve always loved the way that Navy pops with the Carolina blue. It would look weird to me for men’s basketball and I think they should stick strictly with white and Carolina blue, but it’s cool when our other teams mix it into their uniforms. Wish that the football team did it more often.

I always liked the navy with the Carolina blue numbers, letters and trim. Also think the Nike cool gray with the Carolina blue would look nice.
 
Team demolished wake Forest yesterday - team looking pretty good - play dook at dook next week will be a big game as dook is currently undefeated in ACC play

first time the offense has really looked like it did in nonconference play. 11/24 from three, 22 assists on 31 made baskets, 84 points. wake forest is not a good team, but I'm much happier with this win being 84-56 than I would've been with like 62-36. especially good to see Nyla Brooks find her shot again after an extended cold streak. And Indya Nivar is having a Theo Pinson-esque senior season - 9/8/7 is as Pinson-y a statline as you'll see.
