UNC’s Next Basketball Coach

I'm not really sure who the "realistic" options are. In the last few years, when the bluest of blood programs have had openings, they've all gone with a former player.

It's hard to know how many coaches we'd target would be willing to leave wherever they are - and the good situation they each currently have - to come to Carolina at this time.

My hope is that we run a professional search that reaches out to numerous options and provides a reasonable pitch to get one or more high quality options to consider the job.

I have zero confidence that firing HD will magically make anything better? Family used to mean something but our microwave society lacks perspective and patience. I’ll admit that I am bewildered by the lack of defense and intelligence? But constantly firing and hiring is how you make things worse not better. That said I’m open to learning about better ways & coaching savants but before we throw a true family member under the bus. I’d rather wait and see than get another gazillion dollar failure!

Should we first apologize to John Preyer and get him back on the BOT? Do we really want to go into this without his contacts to guys like Marco Rubio?

That was a long time ago and it seems he's paid his debt to society and built a better life for himself.

But I'd be surprised if we gave him a serious look, either.
