Agreed. There's no Roy Williams or anything close out there right now. I think Hubert will be the last stand of the old UNC/Dean Smith coaching family tree, which is one reason why I hoped he would be successful. It's been a truly remarkable run of coaches. And his staff is filled with UNC greats - Sean May, Jeff Lebo, Marcus Paige, etc.

I'm sure that many will celebrate seeing them leave, and given their overall lack of success it's probably time, but personally I'll still be sad to see them all go, as it marks the real end of a great legacy and an entire era of UNC sports. I'm sure that a new coach will have no UNC connections and will likely have a staff with little to no UNC connections and no commitment to maintaining many of the traditions that Coach Smith and others established over the years. And I'm sure that many will say that's exactly what the program needs, but it still doesn't make me feel much better about the changes.
