I believe the part about the arena, but I can’t imagine any decision has been made on Hubert. Making a FF run a criterion for him to keep his job after this season seems extreme.
Not that I agree with this... it's just what I heard from a credible source. I don't know that the Ram's Clubbers are thinking. I don't travel in those circles. I would think Roy or MJ or somebody who is a mover and shaker could have as much or more influence than 10 guys who happen to have billions of $... but we all know what drives things here and around the world. Follow the money.

And lets not forget our CEO-who has shit emotionally invested in Carolina Athletics-and who is a Money lover

Curious when people will actually acknowledge Hubert is growing as a coach. Recruiting good. Better out of timeouts and drew up game winner. Rotations better. Seems to win a lot of second halfs. 19-4. Wins over dook , Kentucky, Kansas and Virginia. Maybe he should get a raise instead of getting fired.

I know we have a thread specifically for this purpose, but it would be nice not to have to evaluate Hubert's future after every game.

Not that I can speak for Heel79 but I'm not sure his ( and to be open, my) side has been the prime motivator in that.

Yea..god forbid that in a thread designed fur this that an opinion is offered in support of Hubert after one of unc's best all time wins against dook. I found it interesting when I got home from game last night, that 3 hours after the win this thread was on page 2 without a single comment.

Did you really find it "interesting" or did you find an opportunity to be divisive? There was lots of praise for Coach Davis on the game thread when I read it after getting home from the game. Maybe the reason there weren't posts on this thread is that Carolina fans wanted to universally enjoy the win?

No. I did find it interesting. Took a while to find thread. I was actually being sincere. I think it is clear Hubert is growing as a coach in many phases.
I don't read game threads. Ever. But glad there was some praise following and I suppose during epic win

I think the title of this thread could (and perhaps should) be amended so that it's not such an automatic "negative" on the whole in reference to Hubert.

Something like a generic "Coach HD catch all" thread. @LeoBloom

(Unless of course LeoB intends the thread to be nothing but an indictment on HD, and to contain absolutely no positive endorsements of Coach Davis. Or perhaps this thread is intended to merely say "hey, let's look ahead to the 2030's")

Not "a lot", maybe some and nothing compared to the criticism we would have seen had it gone the other way.

I'll ask again. How is it divisive to support the UNC head coach?
I just skimmed the game thread. I did not see a lot of Hubert praise during the game. Quite the opposite. Game declared over in FH. Hubert has to go. And more. I won't name names. Lol.

agree with this esp since it seems unlikely at this point that we're getting a new coach any time soon. HD securing his spot.

When the first post you make following a huge upset win over dook on what was essentially a buzzer-beater - when everyone else is making excited posts about how great it is to have won the game - is a snarky reference to how HD can’t be a “bad coach” because we won, that is a divisive post because instead of celebrating the win with everyone else you directly go to a post you think will bother those who disagree with you about HD. You put “supporting” HD over supporting the team or enjoying the victory because it was more important to you to make some specific point in an ongoing argument than it was to actually be a fan.

That’s intentionally divisive and I know you aren’t stupid enough not to realize that.
