They (well, for sure Rubio) pretty clearly want to overthrow Maduro. And Trump has long wanted to use military against drug cartels, so scratches a couple of itches. We’ve been building up a sizable naval presence in the region and frankly some of Venezuela’s neighbors like Guyana want to see Maduro toppled.

Is there a "drug vessel"? Seems unlikely. But “the base” has to be fed BS, regularly.
 
trump and miller and the corporatist fascist hangers-on appear to want the US to become a pariah state, rife for pilfering.
