Perhaps I'm giving it all a bit too much thought. But I am puzzled by emojis. Which do I use? What's the difference? Why is my go-to always the sad face?

Here are some quandries I've run into:

What is the difference between  and โค๏ธ ?
When does one deploy ๐Ÿ’€ or ๐Ÿ‘€ ?
While on the subject of ๐Ÿ‘€, what about  ?
What about the use of ๐Ÿ‘ vs. ๐Ÿ™Œ ?
When is ๐Ÿคฎ preferred over a simple (n) ?
And what of ๐Ÿค” ? Is this for "I'm pondering and/or thinking about your post" or "I'm pondering and/or thinking about your sanity" ?

So many emoji questions. So few emoji answers. It makes me want to ๐Ÿ˜ญ. Sometimes I get so stressed that it makes me ๐Ÿ˜ก and fills me with a rage bordering on ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

But fear not :( board impressionist. Help may be on its way. I found a link to Emojipedia. It may not be ๐Ÿ’ฏ but hopefully it's a (y) for you!

P.S. - Thank god :poop: isn't an option. Now that would ๐Ÿš— me ๐Ÿ˜ฑ !

I overuse emojis. Text is flat and spoken communication is largely dependent on tone and affect during delivery.

๐Ÿ˜ I use when I love what I'm seeing
โค๏ธ Is more an expression of generalized love or sympathy
๐Ÿ’€ Is for when someone's dead - either a full roast, or something so funny that you're dying laughing
๐Ÿ‘€ Is for "look at this!" Implying interest is being impressed, *Or* side-eye, depending on context.
๐Ÿ™„ Is for Zen, GT, etc.
๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Is for applause/approval
๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸปIs for emphatic agreement - a "Preach" or "Amen" kind of response
๐Ÿคฎ Is disgust
๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป Is generic disapproval but doesn't imply stronger feelings
๐Ÿค”Can imply curiosity, confusion, or "You've lost your goddamn mind."

At least that's how I use them.

I love emojis:)

But don't fret about using them or what is the correct way to use them. Follow the wisdom of the artist Bob Ross...

I use emojis to indicate that my post is tongue in cheek
I use emojis to support and agree with posts
I use emojis to express my disagreement with or confusion about the intent of posts

I like emojis:geek:

๐Ÿ™Œ See Bill and Ted's great adventure...

We're not worthy...

This๐Ÿ‘ is just clapping.

I do love having so many options. I really wish Blue Sky had more. I had clicked a heart for something that is repulsive.
