VPN recommendation

I've used ExpressVPN for years now. It came in quite handy when I was stationed in the UK. I loved the fact that they had a router with the firmware built in so that any of my devices that connected, already had the VPN protection. We used it a ton to be able to still watch US tv shows. I've got it installed on my laptops and iphone. I can have up to 8 devices simultaneously connected. I'm paying $116 a year.
 
I use the free version of Proton on my laptop and phone. As a result, get lots of delightful ads in Japanese and Danish.
 
I use Mullvad because it’s what the internet nerds say is one of the most secure/trusted. You can also pay by the month which is nice if you don’t have a need for longterm usage. It’s like $6 a month.

Many of the popular ones like Nord/Express are “fine” if you’re just trying to hide your IP and such but they do some “shady” things like selling your data or not properly protecting you.
