I'm generally very healthy. I've not had COVID, though at one point everyone, other than me, tested positive.

As best I can recall I've only had the flu once in my life..
 
You know what I have sympathy for? A young couple being executed by a lefty Hamas loving dirt bag. He finished off the poor woman as she was crawling away.

I can’t get it out of my head.
 
haven't had Covid but I have had 4 booster shots and have not traveled on an airplane or been in close quarters with strangers.

Although it’s really weird to post this on a Covid thread, I agree that was a horrible and inexplicable act of violence. The murderer should be punished to the fullest extent the law allows, as I’m sure he will be. There’s no place in this world for violence like that.

Serious question, though. Do you have a similarly hard time getting all the other violence in Israel and Gaza out of your head? Including the young children who have been blown up and starved in Gaza? And if not, why do you think the shooting in DC hit you so much harder?
 
I'm on day 5 of paxlovid and my symptoms are about done. Still some chest congestion and coughing but the splitting headache is gone. It's been a long 5 days but I got a lot of rest and even did a few continuing ed courses for renewal of my licenses. I'm pretty sure I had it fairly mild as I had all my vaccinations and boosters. Science>>Ramlouser ignorance!

No question the DC couple is closer to home and I identify with them as I can visualize them as my children. Doesn’t mean, however that I don’t have empathy for Gaza’s children.

When my Dad was getting older, he got the flu and kidded his doctor about how the flu shot must not have worked. My Dad's doctor looked at him and asked if knew a certain person who had been a former customer of my father. My Dad said he did know him. The doctor then said, "He didn't get the flu shot." My father had been at this man's funeral about month earlier. He had died of the flu.

You get to a certain age (60+) and you really need to get your shots. I felt like crap for 2 days instead of 5-6. When you get older you just can’t afford to take chances I my opinion.

I agree. If given a choice beteen feeling crappy at home for a couple of days or dying from the complications of flu while on a respirator in a hospital, I'll pick the feeling crappy for a couple of days every time.

Let me be clear. I really dislike St. Donald of Mar-a-Lago. But appointing RFK, Jr to be Secretary of Health and Human Services just to create a smoke screen for all his self-dealing he is engaged may be one of the worst things that St. Donald has done to America.

Since you want to make it political. That was a far right nut and there are so many more of them in this country. How do you sleep knowing that the far right racist organizations have more members in the US than Tren De Agaua have in total?

As for the murder, I don't care the political affiliation, I want him prosecuted and punished for his actions. See, unlike you, I don't rate criminals based on political ideology. It doesn't give me joy that a criminal has a certain political background.

Must have really hurt you that the trump assign didn't fall into the right camp.
