Why would you expect that logic to resonate with someone so obviously delusional that they think assassination is a plan? That's especially true of this sort of lone wolf type.
 
it’s been 45 years since a would-be assassin was able to fire a single shot at a United States president- HW, Clinton, W, Obama, Trump 1.0, Biden. Now we suddenly have three attempts on Trump 2.0? Boy, either the Secret Service has suddenly lost its fastball or…………
 
You have to admit, it’s one hell of a crazy coincidence that the very first time in either of his two terms that Donald Trump attends one of the most heavily secured events in the world, a 30-year-old Kamala Harris supporter from California somehow makes it into the venue with a weapon, but Trump golfs every single weekend outside in the open without incident. Magic!!!!
 
Kind of crazy that they captured this guy alive and not even shot. He was heavily armed, shot a secret service agent, and was pretty close to the president and dozens of other high-ranking officials and ended up being tackled.
 
What is the logic behind the idea that, since the very first security checkpoint stopped him, we need much better security?

Of course, that's a rhetorical question.:rolleyes:

There were likely more than a hundred secret service and Capitol police personnel there. Swarming him was probably a lot safer than trying to shoot a running target with other people in the line of fire.
 
Hate to see a person just throw away his life. Initial comments from those who know him suggest he had a lot to offer. That said, how is he not dead?
 
The Secret Service seemed much more animated and concerned this time as opposed to the PA “assassin attempt.”

The people who would actually attempt something like that aren’t operating in a rational reality. They are nuts, political ramifications don’t matter to them at all.
