If a cast member of a single reality TV show is a B-list celebrity, then yeah, at least a thousand. At least one of those people is a cast member of a Real Housewives show. Google tells me there were at least 173 women featured as a "real housewife" at some point. Debra McGrath is a complete nobody. Ally Sheedy hasn't had a leading role since the mid 1980s.

And of course your list also includes basketball players and musicians. There are at least 100 pro athletes alive today as famous as DWade. More than that who are at least as big as Sting.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re a “trans bigot”! If it makes you feel better, I just think you’re a weird dude with some unbelievably bizarre inexplicable insecurity as it pertains to LGBTQ.

Unless someone on #TheLeft has forced you at gunpoint to become transgender, nobody has shoved anything down your throat or put anything in your face. It’s entirely your choice to be so triggered by like 0.1% of the population who don’t know you, don’t care about you, and don’t think about you except for when you’re trying to strip their human rights and dignity away.

Until I come to this message board and see you and a select few others with your Transgender Derangement Syndrome flaring up, I quite literally never think about transgender people. They’re just people to me, man. I don’t understand the science, I don’t understand the psychology. I can’t relate to them. And I don’t need to, because they’re just people. And they deserve my respect for their human dignity and their rights just as anyone else.

Why do you care so deeply about people who don’t impact you in the slightest?

1. Trans women have hormonal cycles that mirror periods. They do not have bleeding.
2. Nobody told you that young children's sex "can" and "should be" surgically changed. Nobody under the age 16 ever gets surgery. Above that age, and even into young adulthood, very few trans people have surgeries, and of those surgeries, the vast majority are breast implants. And nobody is told they "should" get surgeries, because that is a standard of care that exists nowhere in the world.
3. If a medical doctor tells you that trans women can in theory breastfeed (which is surely extremely rare), on what basis do you disbelieve that? You've been to med school? Fuck, you went to law school and have practiced for some time and you still don't understand law.

Trans issues have been shoved down your throat by your right wing media choices and the algorithms of your social media. I rarely encounter such issues being shoved down my throat unless someone is trying to alienate, harm or otherwise marginalize transgender folks. During elections Democrats don’t talk about transgender issues, but Republicans obsess about it nonstop.
 
For people that love to talk tough, Trumpers are frightened of just about everything. Transgenders (and let's be honest, it's gays and lesbians too), darker-skinned immigrants, big cities, diversity of any kind, any religion other than Fundamentalist Protestant or very conservative Catholic, feminists and independent career women, the list just goes on and on. For the most part, trans women are the only non-religious issue related to transgenderism.

the left and trans people were perfectly happy leaving the subject alone until GOP lawmakers identified a new target after they lost the fights on racism and homosexuality and accordingly started introducing bathroom bills and other such nonsense. according to google analytics, the most popular the search term "transgender" has ever been was in the immediate aftermath of HB2's passing in North Carolina.

since then, the left has taken the side of freedom fighting once again, as it always does, and that takes the form of being visible and educating the populace. you taking that as it being "shoved down your throat" is just your discomfort with a status quo being changed (and some latent homophobia, but i digress).

and honestly, i sincerely doubt anybody is asking you to take a strong position on whether or not trans people can have periods or breast feed or bear children. there are a whole host of cis women - actually, all cis women after some point in their lives - who can't do those things. does a cis woman stop being a woman after menopause? the ask is for your definition of woman to be slightly more expansive than the parts that, in 99.9% of cases, you are never going to see. this has actually been the project of feminism since at least the 70's - for women not to be defined by their parts but by their personhood.
