Theodore Geisel Birthday (see History Thread). I know most everyone one of you read his books as a child and then those with progeny to their kids and grandkids. [No kids, just a couple nieces]. So many to choose from. Vote for your favorite and if you feel like posting why or anything related please do. Especially if you choose Other.
Dr. Seuss - Book Series In Order
Link to List of Books.

I am very old school. Plain old Cat In The Hat. My first of his and because of that had my mom hitting the library regularly. A habit I retained most of my life.

Fox in Socks, not and.

I don't remember it having the same moral story as some maybe more important works, but I laughed so hard reading that book or having it read to me.

I object to the lack of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
Damn iI thought of it too. Can't seem to edit the poll.

Dang. Should have looked and not used this 3" floppy of a memoy.

Hop on Pop is the correct answer. It's a fantastic reading starter. Many of the other ones are just purely silly and aren't necessarily popular. My boys never really cared for Dr. Suess except for Hop on Pop, Fox in Socks (only when I would read it to them), and Cat in the Hat (because there's a TV show).

Pale Green Pants - as an introduction to horror.
You know, I just don't recall this one.

I know I read most of the Dr Seuss as a child. I read them over and over until my 11th grade teacher said I couldn't do a book report on a Dr Seuss book. 😁 And I read them so many times to each of my daughters.

The Butter Battle Book is about two opposing and adjacent communities engaged in nuclear proliferation. Seems pretty apt nowadays.
