Grad school 81 & 82.

Teaching night school class 82 M & W. Told class on Wed that if we won Saturday don't even think about coming Monday. Saw a couple students on Franklin St that night. Had a couple lacrosse players for students as well.

basketball in 2009 was a top 5 night of my life. i was young and an idiot but the vibes and excitement around campus were simply unmatched.
 
94 - women's basketball, women's soccer
95 - Field hockey, women's soccer
96 - Field hockey, women's soccer
97 - field hockey, women's soccer
09 - men's basketball, field hockey, women's soccer
11 - men's soccer
12 - women's soccer
13 - women's tennis, women's lacrosse
15 - women's tennis
 
There have been 50 NCAA national championship teams at UNC since I have been alive. The only one I didn't see is the 1957 basketball championship.
 
So am I correct to say that we have one more National Championship by Women's Lacrosse in May of 2025?

That was basically my school years. (Started in fall of '89 and graduated in '94.) We (OU) had one men's gymnastics title and one baseball title. I'd already graduated and moved to DC before that CWS was played so it doesn't feel like it happened during my tenure.

Basketball team was pretty good that first year but no thanks to you aholes it ended in frustration. ;-) I think only one senior on that team but 3 starters flunked out before the next year. That was otherwise a fun year. Beat the eventual champion UNLV by 8 and then beat #1 MU by 17 and #1 KU by 22 in a three day stretch.

Guys a couple of years older got to experience playing for both a basketball and a football title in the same school year. F' Danny Manning. That was our one year and we were so much better than KU.

In 1990-1991 I lived in a house with a lacrosse player who was dating a field hockey player. Both teams won national championships that year so that was pretty cool.
The lacrosse national player of the year and goaltender of the year hung out at our place all the time.

My four years at UNC were 1987-1991, so no basketball championships unfortunately, but we probably won women’s soccer all four years.
 
I was 2004-2008. We had:
  • One men's basketball
  • One women's field hockey
  • Two women's soccer
Just missed another men's basketball, women's soccer, and women's field hockey in 2009.
