I had to stare at it for some time to think of the answer … I usually try to get these done in less than a minute or two and this took about 5 minutes of puzzling before the word finally came to me — everything else I considered didn’t seem common enough or likely to eliminate other words. Got lucky that this was the solution as opposed to the best way to eliminate possibilities.

Unremarkable 4. A couple of my text buddies had the first 4 green but the last letter wrong before they (naturally) solved on their next guess. I like the word that they guessed (that wasn't the answer). Hope it will be the answer one day...

A couple of my text buddies had the first 4 green but the last letter wrong before they (naturally) solved on their next guess.

This happened to me today. Thought I had it in 2 but that last letter didn't flip. I was a bit wary of that second guess, thinking Wordle might be disinclined to use that word. I should've pondered a moment or two longer...
