Wordle thread

My starting word has a letter in it that usually proves to be a dog, but it paid off today (first letter of today's answer). I probably need to change it (although it does contain 3 vowels), but I'm still haunted by JUICE being the answer a couple weeks after I abandoned it, so I'm going to stick with it until it's the answer or hell freezes over, whichever comes first. Surprisingly, most of my text buddies got 3's, and not after they'd seen me report a 2 and dastardly appropriated what they know to be my starting word for their own vile purposes...
 
Does anybody use a different word every day to start wordle?

If I hear or read an interesting word I’ve never played I’ll use that the next day. Otherwise it’s a word based on where my eyes fell on the keyboard (play on iPad).

I change every now and then, but not daily

No, I will keep my starter word until it is the solution. Then I will change to another “Wheel of Fortune” word (using some combination of L-N-R-S-T-E+A). My current starter word is STALE.
