Well this was possibly my worst games day ever lol. I blame basketball.

I at least got the Wordle but threw all strategy out the window and just blind guessed.

Wordle 1,371 6/6

For Connections I got the first group and then sat staring at it until I finally just gave up and clicked most anything.

Connections
Puzzle #649
πŸŸͺπŸŸͺπŸŸͺπŸŸͺ

I did do pretty well on Strands though
Strands #383
β€œOde to the aubergine”
πŸ”΅πŸ”΅πŸ”΅πŸŸ‘
πŸ”΅

I thought I would try to redeem myself and do the Mini but that ended up taking 5+ minutes because of one letter.

I am hoping for better results from the ballgame today.

And once again, after my third word, the Wordlebot’s commentary was β€œExcellent choice β€” XXXXX would have been one of my top picks in this situation. And you’ve narrowed it down to one possible solution. You should solve the puzzle on your next turn.”

And after my fourth word it’s response was, β€œThere was only one possible solution left β€” and this wasn’t it. (XXXXX is a valid guess, but it’s unlikely to be a solution based on what I’ve learned from playing Wordle.) But there’s still only one solution remaining. You should solve the puzzle on your next turn.”

I don’t understand how a word can be a β€œvalid guess” yet be an β€œunlikely solution.” All valid five-letter words are potential solutions, right? There are various listed criteria (no proper nouns, no plurals, etc) so if a five-letter words meets those criteria how can it be omitted as a β€œpossible solution.” This has happened to me multiple times. I don’t mind my guess being incorrect, but the Wordlebot’s commentary is wrong. Any β€œvalid guess” is by definition a possible solution, right?

I don’t think this is right. In the original game, Mrs Waddell pre approved a list of words she knew. I think there’s a master list out there.
