Been in NYC for a few days, nothing remarkable to report Wordle-wise except: The day that the answer was WATER, one of my text buddies started with TREAD and got it in 2. Tread water, get it? (I got a 6 that day, went down the rhyme hole with later, cater, hater, I almost went with tater on line 6 but then water splashed in my face, so to speak).

Possibly more remarkable (but not nearly as delightful) is that I got a 3 today. Had the last 3 green and another yellow on the second guess, went thru the alphabet twice to try to figure out the first letter and it just wasn't there. Had to go with the answer b/c there was nothing else that even parsed. Did not know this word was spelled this way. I'm calling bullshit on this one, but I guess they are running out of words. How many legit (or, well, semi-legit) 5 letter words are there anyway?

Finally, new game: Alphaguess. Pretty simple beat the clock game, you guess any word, it tells you if the answer is before or after (alphabetically) the word you guessed, then you guess another word based on that. Kinda like a Price Is Right game where you keep guessing the price and the host says higher or lower until you get it. Usually only takes a few minutes. Start with shorter words to save time...
