Trump is creating a "Task force" to coordinate security.

They are going to harass the hell out of the other countries' fans. FIFA should reschedule it somewhere else. Or play it on a sandlot somewhere.

Well, there's also a good chance that it just won't work. Like, the fans will show up to the stadium but the security will be at a gardening store across town so nobody will be able to get in.

Lol. What non-blue cities have stadiums and enough hotel accommodations to host the World Cup games?

I guess Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville, but where else?
Blue cities in Red/Purple States

Dallas
Houston
Atlanta
Nashville
Charlotte
Phoenix
Philadelphia
Pittsburgh
Tampa
Orlando

To be honest I'm hoping the 2028 Olympics get moved for selfish reasons - we are planning on going to LA/Disneyland in 2028 and are thinking about coming in July of that year
Unless you already have secured housing, it may not be the best time to go. Rental and hotel prices are going to be astronomical.

There are very few red cities. Tampa and Jacksonville both have Democratic Mayors although Tampa's mayor was formerly republican.

Miami and Dallas (and fort Worth) have Republican Mayors and NFL stadiums or NFL stadiums nearby. Oklahoma City has a Republican mayor and its biggest football stadium is a 7,000 seat high School stadium. There is an 80,000 seat stadium 20 minutes away on the campus of OU. Mesa has a Republican mayor and a large stadium 20 minutes away on the campus of Arizona State. Mesa and Oklahoma City likely do not have the facilities to handle an event like this.

I can't believe that I put more research into this question than the White House did before announcing a potential policy like that. On the other hand, I can totally believe it.

And I doubt that most, if any, college football stadiums would work. I doubt any of them have the amenities that FIFA would want and that NFL/MLS stadiums have.
