Sorry. My bad. Having a father like his can give some the impression that he’s where he is because of his father. While others will he’s a disappointment because he doesn’t come close to being the kind of player his father was. Michael Douglas said he always felt the burden of being Kirk...

He’s just not a can’t miss prospect. Also, with his size he’s going to have to play on the perimeter. Those skills just aren’t developed yet. He certainly can become a solid NBA player, he’s just not there yet.

Politics Anyone ever worked as a bouncer or know about bouncing?

Reminds me of Ron White’s story of getting physically thrown out of a bar. He said he squared off with bar’s bouncers in the parking lot. He backed down because he didn’t know how many of them it was going to take to whip his ass, but he knew how many they were going to use.

I think he can eventually become a serviceable NBA player. He’s certainly got a ways to go, but it’s not out of the question. His problem is the gigantic shadow his father casts.

    Politics CURRENT EVENTS - April

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 4 years ago. The doctor monitored it thru biopsies every six months. When it started to get more aggressive I had my prostate removed. That was 18 months ago. I have blood tests every 6 months to check my PSA. My PSA is unmeasurable. That is the key...

    Politics Gas prices

Just bought gas at BJ’s here in Burlington. Gas was $3.52. That is $.18 less than what I paid about three weeks ago. But it is still $1.10 higher than it was in late February.

    Off-Topic The Weather Thread

My neighbor was Burlington’s city engineer for 30 years. He told me Burlington had the best water system in the state. We sell several million gallons of water to Greensboro every day. So water restrictions are not something we have to deal with. Fortunately.

The way things are going right now, the remnants of a system might be our best bet for rain this summer. Hurricane Hazel devastated our coast in 1954. It killed 8 people on Ocean Isle Beach where it came ashore. However it was a godsend to the central part of North Carolina which had been...

Been watering my lawn. Not as good as 3-4 good soaking rains we’ve usually had by now, but better than not watering. Mother Nature has been falling down on the job these last few weeks.

Politics Anybody get a Divorce because of Trump/Maga?

While I’m happily married, I would never marry a Trump/maga supporter or a dook basketball fan.

Politics RFK Jr, HHS & MAHA | psychedelic drugs

A woman who was our receptionist at a company I worked for had polio in her right arm. The arm was twisted and she couldn’t use it. She was right handed and had to learn to write with her left. I was a baby when the vaccine came out. When my mother heard the news of the vaccine, she sat...

When I was young, my parents were friends with a couple a few years older than them. Their daughter had contracted polio and was in an iron lung. They were able to afford 24/7 nursing care for her. I remember going into her room and seeing her in it. I pray we are not coming to a time when...
