I enjoy Summer up until the 4th….after that I wish we could just jump to at least Labor Day. There’s nothing enjoyable about July and August here in the south.

City of Raleigh water customers are under watering restrictions starting tomorrow.

This morning I left to play golf without looking at the forecast. Had to buy a pullover at the turn, went from 73 degrees to 56 with 25mph winds. Wild day, absolutely miserable.

Been watering my lawn. Not as good as 3-4 good soaking rains we’ve usually had by now, but better than not watering. Mother Nature has been falling down on the job these last few weeks.

Supposed to be a slow hurricane/tropical storm season.

The way things are going right now, the remnants of a system might be our best bet for rain this summer. Hurricane Hazel devastated our coast in 1954. It killed 8 people on Ocean Isle Beach where it came ashore. However it was a godsend to the central part of North Carolina which had been experiencing a bad drought.
