Today I began a "watering" routine on newish bushes and bulbs

This morning I left to play golf without looking at the forecast. Had to buy a pullover at the turn, went from 73 degrees to 56 with 25mph winds. Wild day, absolutely miserable.

The Atlantic coast sure could use a week's worth of a soaking rain.
Been watering my lawn. Not as good as 3-4 good soaking rains we’ve usually had by now, but better than not watering. Mother Nature has been falling down on the job these last few weeks.

At this point if i water my lawn I go to prison-except wednesday morning before 10 lol

Supposed to be a slow hurricane/tropical storm season.
The way things are going right now, the remnants of a system might be our best bet for rain this summer. Hurricane Hazel devastated our coast in 1954. It killed 8 people on Ocean Isle Beach where it came ashore. However it was a godsend to the central part of North Carolina which had been experiencing a bad drought.
