Stories like these only have potential to damage Trump if they go AGAINST what his followers already believe about him. If its a story about being sexist, racist, crude, lewd or grifting then it won't amount to a ripple because that's exactly what his followers have come to expect. Good luck.

1) would have to be pretty extreme to move the needle. Think the American populace, particularly the MAGA crowd , gives Trump incredible berth in what he can say or do. Grab the By The Pussy video would have killed any other candidate. Basically just bounced off Trump.

2) this is some great back burning by the Trump campaign. You imagine all sorts of horrendous things...when it actually comes out and its something mild, crisis averted.

Arizona law enforcement officials are conducting an arson investigation after election ballots were damaged when a USPS mail collection box was burned in Maricopa County, a Democratic stronghold.​


ABC 15 reported that crews responded to the USPS Osborn Station around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday and found a mail collection box on fire.

"Approximately 20 electoral ballots were damaged, along with additional miscellaneous mail," Phoenix Fire Department officials revealed, according to ABC 15.

Phoenix Fire Department's Arson Investigation Taskforce launched an investigation into the fire. Election officials said they did not yet have specifics about the incident.

"We are waiting for details from law enforcement," Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer explained. "We encourage all voters who used that mail box in the last 36 hours to check the status of their ballots at https://BeBallotReady.Vote."

"Successful delivery is usually reflected on that website within 72 hours," he added. "Voters should be aware that tomorrow, October 25 is the last day to request a replacement ballot. If a voter believes they were impacted by this incident they can learn more about how to make that request at https://Request.Maricopa.Vote."

In 2020, President Joe Biden defeated former President Donald Trump in Maricopa County by over two points.

When the Mark Robinson news broke, most republicans didn’t even get that news. It was not mentioned on Fox News and the uninformed could certainly have avoided it. If Robinsons floor is somewhere around 40%, I think it’s because 10-15% are fine with (or encouraged by) the Hitler comment and the other 25-30% never received that information.

The same would hold true with Trump, and/or many would dismiss this as “more fake news” generated to bring him down, as many of the other accusations are disimissed.
