I knew Jay's dad when he was a lawyer and a judge in Norfolk. Jay is highly respected in the legal community and had the support of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. There's no excuse for those texts, but they don't make him unqualified or unfit for office. He's also never lied about them being his, or tried to justify them.BTW other than the texts, what has Jay Jones done wrong that make some (including some here) call him a dirtbag and despicable?
The problem is, in today's society, they probably are right to assume that there's almost always a camera rolling somewhere. Which adds to the unhealthy dysfunction of it all.I mean I’m sure they’re still insufferable pieces of shit, but do they keep the drama meter turned up to 10 even when the cameras aren’t rolling?
Yeah I gotcha. But the full statement was "Trump, when on the ballot, brings out a very substantial number of low-propensity voters who are unengaged in the electoral process when Trump is not on the ballot." The fact that he lost in 2020 in an election with a huge spike in the number of voters, on both sides, is not at all inconsistent with that statement. That may be the case, but I was responding to the simple statement: "When Trump is on the ballot".
He damn sure was on the ballot in 2020. I'll stand by my statement and what I think in that instance, and still acknowledge what you've said.
Let's be real...he's being quoted on twitter for a tweet that made him easy to mock. For a guy who played a whopping 6 seasons with 12 wins and 23 losses, he sure has staying power when it comes to public attention.
I would certainly want to know if there were a lot of new voters. If this drove new voters in an off-year, then that would be big... my assumption was it was a higher motivation for prior voters voting against Pubs... but I could def be wrong.I'd be more interested in number of new voters. Getting the previously uninterested involved will mean more in the long run than how the current pile is split up. Not the best election to judge more seldom has there been the same kind of motivation.
This explains why the goat meat biryani I had for dinner this weekend was called the Mamdani #5.Hey, goat meat is pretty damn good. This is not as out there as the "threat" that there would be a taco truck on every corner, but still...
Damn, now I want biryani for dinnner. This explains why the goat meat biryani I had for dinner this weekend was called the Mamdani #5.
Next time you're in NYC check out this place:Damn, now I want biryani for dinnner.
Why must I live where there are no Indian restaurants!?!
On that note have you been to his favorite spot, Sami’s Kabab House? I went a couple weeks ago, really good. This explains why the goat meat biryani I had for dinner this weekend was called the Mamdani #5.

It’s all performative pearl clutching.BTW other than the texts, what has Jay Jones done wrong that make some (including some here) call him a dirtbag and despicable?
