I'm always amused by the GOP obsession with posting those election maps showing lots of red territory and much less blue territory, both nationally and in most states. What they can never get through their MAGA heads is that all that red territory is mostly thinly populated rural areas, and those smaller blue areas are usually densely-populated and in many states actually contain a majority (sometimes a large majority) of that state's population. Let MAGAs continue to proudly post those election night maps anyway. "See all that red? Who cares if it's mostly deer, woods, tractors, and not many people? That's Real America, baby!"

Jay Jones is a scoundrel, but oh my God if these performative Republican crocodile tears aren’t absolutely spectacular hahahaha

And GOP Projection rears its head yet again. While the statements of Jones were really bad, he's still only a State AG. I'm sure this lady, who is so disturbed by nasty, over-the-top comments from politicians, nonetheless voted three times in a row for a politician who has said things as bad as Jones multiple times - and who engages in nasty and mean-spirited rhetoric on a daily basis - for freaking President of the United States.

God, for all of these Trumpers to be calling out Jay Jones winning a statewide election while they're supporting Donald Freaking Trump is just beyond rich. Total cluelessness. Maybe if your adored cult leader hadn't spent the last decade spewing crap that was at least as bad as what Jones said, and doing it on a daily basis, maybe you would not now be in this position. Your side created this climate, so live with it. And I'm not even defending what Jones said (it was beyond the pale), only that if you're a Trump supporter you've got zero room to complain about people saying really offensive things.

“Talk more” = “lie even more, if that’s possible”
I love some of the GOP talking points in that article. Trump needs to be more focused on letting people know that he's working to improve their finances and personal lives - "I think we’ll see him be very, very focused on prices and cost of life.” LOL, Trump has never given a shit about the average person in this country, and he has all the focus of a severely ADHD child. That's not going to happen. And as for "focusing on recruiting better candidates" - again, lol. Trump endorsed Herschel Walker for the Senate, and the GOP is running total morons for many offices around the country, such as Dr. Oz (who lost to Fetterman) and Tommy Tuberville (who got elected and has repeatedly proven himself an idiot of the highest order).

No, the people who lost on Monday are their "better candidates" - they're exactly what MAGA wants: they're not experts, have little to no experience or qualifications for the office they're running for, are ignorant of most issues, often have a history of bigoted and racist and sexist and anti-LGBTQ statements, and are mainly notable for being slavishly loyal to Dear Leader and for trolling the libs on Twitter rather than anything else.

Yep. Those economically anxious MFers elected a billionaire who didn’t know what “grocery” means. If only someone had told them …

This affirms my contention that the GQP has never done anything to improve the lives of working and middle class families while increasing the wealth of the top 10%

This ever expanding wealth gap may contribute to the current voting enthusiasm we saw yesterday.

We really are living through a Second Gilded Age in many ways. Which I guess fits, given how much Trump loves him some high tariffs and William McKinley. The fact that there was a terrible four-year economic depression in the 1890s (the Panic of 1893), plenty of strikes by workers that were often broken violently by corporate-hired thugs, cops, and even the US military with federal troops (National Railroad Strike of 1877, Homestead Strike, Pullman Strike, etc.), and that this era wasn't really the best for the average worker is something he (and the GOP) obviously doesn't care about. All Trump and his fellow plutocrats care about when they think about the Gilded Age is how great it was for people like them (the Rockefellers and Carnegies and JP Morgans), not the average person.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic candidates saw victories across key races Tuesday, and there were signs there’s plenty of room for the Democratic Party to make up ground among groups that moved toward President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Kilmeade is stunned that Jones won ? He thought Virginia had higher standards ?

This is the guy who advocated murdering mentally ill and homeless people as one solution for reducing crime.
