It's about time somebody noticed Jackson's political and campaign style nationally. National Democrats certainly could take some lessons from him in how Democrats can win elections in this difficult time for them.

The non-Republican candidates are:
Mamdani - D, who beat Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary
Cuomo - I, former Governor with support of major power brokers
Eric Adams - I, incumbent mayor, pro-cop conservative
Jim Walden - I, independent attorney

The only candidate who is not a non-Republican, and therefore isn't a pretty poor candidate is...
Curtis Sliwa - R.

Adams - known Trump supporter
 


Republicans who are censured by their county party leaders may be blocked from the primary ballot under a new party rule passed last year, that is expected to be tested by the courts.

Rather than copy/paste the definitions of each from an online dictionary, which wouldn't be useful, I'll say that these are examples of what I'm talking about:
