I watched that scrap live. Closest thing we get to an NBA fight.

I love Duren but you can’t smack a guy in the face like that.

Bridges had no business trying to get involved though, and I’d think with his rap sheet he’d have known better. Seems to be a stupid man, plain and simple. I wish Beef Stew would’ve pummeled him.

Stewart coming in off the bench is a more serious offense (and a greater indication of stupidity) than Bridges (who was on the court) involvement. I suspect the fines/possible suspensions levied will reflect that.

Bridges was throwing punches at that dude like they were dating.

Nah, in a vacuum maybe. Might be punished more harshly too, maybe. But the broader context shows only one king of stupidity there.

As soon as it happened, he and Brandon Miller are THE two guys who should’ve immediately gone to the bench and sat on their hands until it was over.

That’s ridiculous. Leave your teammates in a 3 on 5 rumble? They would have lost all respect from their teammates had they behaved as you suggest. Ludicrous.

Hypothetically if I were to have laughed out loud at that it would’ve been at what an idiot Bridges is, and not to diminish the seriousness of domestic violence. Hypothetically that was hilarious.

Things were getting testy with Diabate and Duren anyway. Diabate fouled him in the lane on a drive and was definitely talking some shit to him, Duren put his head forward not quite like a headbutt but pretty close, Diabate kinda butted back, then Duren push/slapped him across the face to create space. Definitely not something you should do. Then Diabate saw red and charged, swung and missed a couple times, and all hell broke loose.

Did you even see it? It was a 1:1 rumble until Bridges escalated the whole thing. He was not “leaving his teammates,” he was trying to get at Duren because Diabate was being held back.

And given the context of a guy who smashed in and broke the face of the mother of his children, he’s an odd guy for anyone to take up for under the circumstances.
