2026 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament

Agreed on much of that. Except the first line because FSU is playing really really well and we have to figure out a 7 man lineup.
But agree on the whole take about the tournaments now. I mean the committee said they just didn't matter much. Though I would use it, in our case, to feel out lineups with Foster and Pat out. Otherwise I wouldn't be pressing. Especially with Florida as a #1 seed there's little difference now in overall 1 and the others... Previously it was to avoid them as your 2.
I don't see a reason Duke shouldn't win this game.

I’m really disappointed that Duke did not hire a villain after Coach K. Scheyer is annoyingly likable. I know a lot of folks were annoyed about his comments about the court storming after the UNC game in Chapel Hill, but I figure it was heat of the moment stuff where he was frustrated and relaying secondhand information. Yes, it was goofy, but does not detract, in my opinion, from what a spectacular job he is doing as the coach at Duke. I sincerely believe that they are better coached than at any point over the final 10 to 12 years or so of the Coach K era. So far it seems like he is every bit the strategic and motivational mastermind that a young Coach K was.
I would have agreed with you before the court storming fiasco.

Give him a few more years and he might be pretty hated.

I hear ya, for sure. It was definitely tacky, don't get me wrong. I just think he was frustrated, it was the heat of the moment, and he was wrong in kind of shooting from the hip in relaying secondhand info without further investigation or verification. I think what probably happened is one of the Duke managers was disheveled in the locker room postgame and said something about being hit in the face, and Scheyer went with it. Not his finest moment, I agree.

I don't know him well and he likely wouldn't know me from Adam but we were in a class together through the Fuqua School of Business at Duke in 2018-2019, so he was on staff at Duke but obv not yet head coach, and he was just as kind, friendly, and humble as he could be. Kind of made me feel slightly bad about some of the things I yelled at him from the risers in college!

I don't like Scheyer at all.

scheyer is fairly likable at this stage, but let's give him some time.

another decade or so littered with him claiming that flopowski needs an amputation and all of his players and staff were punched in the face by UNC fans and everyone will hate his whiney, dishonest little ass, too.

Honestly, I don't see what there is to dislike about Scheyer. Outside of the court storming thing, he hasn't done anything that annoys me. Honestly, I would be more annoyed with him as a Duke fan. If they spend what some folks on here act like they spend, they should be competing for the NBA Finals and he hasn't won shit at Duke yet.

Went to dook to play for rat. I do like his failures though and hope for more.

My feelings about Scheyer are fairly neutral at this point (putting the silly court storming comments to the side). Long before K actually retired, I remember Tommy Amaker's name popping up as a possible replacement. I always it would be weird if he ended up being the duke coach because I've always kind of liked him. It would be strange to feel that way about a duke head coach.

I dunno man. In the last three years they're 91-15 with two ACC regular season titles, an ACCT championship, an elite 8, a final four, and they're likely the top overall seed in the NCAAT this year. I get that the ultimate goal is to win a national title but they've done everything but recently. I'd love to have the success they're having at UNC.
