There seems to be a push not to call until the mess in Dallas (which is all about the general election and the fight to prevent courts from extending voting hours) is sorted.Seeing some calls for Talarico.
Respectfully this guy has been full of a lot of BS for a while. He may be right in this situation but I need that message from someone else.
Strikes me as just as likely that Paxton figured Crockett would beat Talarico and by cutting out late Dallas votes the pubs would prevent her from a majority. The pubs probably wanted the Dems in a nasty runoff as much or more than a particular Dem candidate. At least in this stage.
Also Crocket is winning Dallas county with just under 61% of the vote with 61% reporting. That currently equates to a 43k vote lead in Dallas while currently down in the popular vote by 110k. She was not winning either way. Now that does not speak to Paxton’s motives.
You don’t live in most places in which you frequently offer opinions about the election results.I don’t live in Orange County.
I'd hope to see both Dem primary candidates united in calling out the Republican election day shenanigans. Talarico probably didn't feel secure enough in his lead to do so last night, but there needs to be a completely united front on this stuff.I agree. I don’t think Crockett was going to win, no matter what. But the stupid shit going on in Texas is just a dry run for this fall. Pubs know there is a reckoning coming.
According to many election watchers, there are only 30 competitive House districts nationwide. Flipping 50 might be difficult. When we flip like 50 House seats and flip the Senate in November we’re never going to see our board MAGAts around here ever again are we?
The races I opine on directly affect me. The Orange County Sheriff race doesn’t. Not sure who pissed in your Cheerios. You don’t live in most places in which you frequently offer opinions about the election results.
A united front is imperative . It looks like Talarico will win the primary. He will need the enthusiastic support from Crockett voters to have any chance of winning the general election.I'd hope to see both Dem primary candidates united in calling out the Republican election day shenanigans. Talarico probably didn't feel secure enough in his lead to do so last night, but there needs to be a completely united front on this stuff.
Blackwood won pretty easilyYou don’t live in most places in which you frequently offer opinions about the election results.

Let Zoo be the ornery Zoo we have come to know and love. His experience and historical knowledge of NC politics and UNC sports makes him a very valuable contributor to the board. He takes me to task from time to time and is quick to dismiss my proxy campaign for Congress years ago, but I take no offense. Let Zoo be ZooI suspect ZooView's Cheerios come with piss already in them
