I’m sure he will. He’s already using it for fundraising, and I’m sure this is an angle that scares the shit out of Husted. Actually it probably scares the shit out of all Ohio Republicans, since Leslie Wexner has been a huge contributor to Ohio GOP candidates for years. The Sherrod Brown campaign just connected those dots to find a campaign issue that will resonate with some Republican voters.

As a longstanding contributor to Sherrod Brown, the excerpt below is from an email I got this week.

“farce,

We always knew Jon Husted could be bought, but this is especially appalling.

Here are the facts: New reports reveal that my opponent, Jon Husted, has taken 10x more money than any U.S. Senator from billionaire Leslie Wexner. Wexner is a longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein and one of his top co-conspirators.

It gets worse. Husted didn’t just take Wexner’s money.

When the Senate had the chance to release the Epstein files and provide accountability for the victims, Husted voted against it.

Wexner’s most recent donation to Husted came just two months before that vote. You do the math.

It all makes me sick to my stomach.

Ohioans deserve transparency. We deserve accountability.

We deserve a senator who fights for working people, not one who protects the rich and powerful. Not one who protects the Epstein class. Not one who protects pedophiles.

I've spent my career holding powerful interests accountable – and I'm fighting as hard as I can to unseat Jon Husted and prove that working people, justice, and accountability matter more than protecting billionaires.

But no one person could win this fight alone. I need you, farce.

If you believe the super wealthy shouldn’t get special treatment – and the truth shouldn’t be hidden –
I’m asking you to chip in $50 or whatever you can today to help us flip Ohio and bring accountability back to the Senate.
Create the ad and run it now until November. It will take time for many Ohio voters to digest this and commit it to memory.

GQPers have been successful in the past by hammering voters on just one simple issue no matter how inane.

So I say don't wait and start now running an ad to make this the top issue and the media will chase this shiny object through the election. Taking money from Wexner could be the equivalent to the media hounding Hillary's campaign with "what about her e-mails ? "

Or the Transgender ads which ran by the millions
Its a low life way to run a campaign-but it is a low life group of voters I guees that are "swayable"

Any Unaffiliated voters out there?
Are you choosing the Republican ballot in the primaries in order to vote for the least Maga types?
I am, simply because those m-fers will run UNOPPOSED in the general because the Dems are too chicken shit to run anybody for judges, county commissioners or school boards.

That’s the way it is in my WNC county.
Roy Cooper is about the only name on the Dem primary ballot and he’s a shoe in even without my unaffiliated vote.

I’m looking at it the other way….I’m thinking of voting in the GOP primary just to vote for Michelle Morrow over Whatley to make Roy Cooper’s path easier. My problem is the opposite of yours. In the Charlotte Democratic primary, the winner of the primary wins the election since no Republicans run for many of the local offices so If I vote to put the craziest
Republicans on the ticket I will have no say in some Democratic races I actually care about.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they already have the ad ready to roll. This issue is the money for media buys. Most of the Republican ads you see right now are paid for by PACs/dark money and that is funding that just isn’t available to Democrats and I’m sure the DSCC is keeping their powder dry for the fall. We need people like Bill Gates and Mark Cuban and other liberal billionaires create some dark money special interest PACs to smear Republicans nonstop between now and the election. It’s all about the money, which is why Democrats are at such a disadvantage.

If the DSCC keeps it powder dry for the fall, then the GQPers will have set their campaign issues for electorate and the Brown ads will be full of sound and fury signifying next to nothing.

But given the DSSC, I am not surprised when once again they will never miss the opportunity to miss the opportunity.

Actually, you’re not wrong, and you’re not really looking at it in another way at all. Here is my sample ballot where I am. I contacted a couple lawyer friends of mine to help with judge votes. Basically anybody but Dupre and Whatley for Senate. Hope to make Whatley squirm a bit. Vote Byrne for Appeals. The others are my local choices. I did my research and these are all the “least Maga”. And most if not all will run unopposed in the general. So this is basically my only say in the midterms… other than voting for Roy in November, I have no voice at all.IMG_2626.jpeg

Aren't you supposed to not share your ballot? I thought there was controversy about people taking selfies of their ballots. I don't remember the law cited, or if it was a law or where

I haven’t voted yet. That’s a sample ballot anyone can download and print out which is what I did here. The Democratic ballot is sad as there are hardly any races and practically nobody to vote for except for Ole Roy - who is running against 6 or 7 others who’ve thrown their hat in the ring.

I got it, thanks. I've never looked at a sample ballot before. That's probably more of a me issue than anything else, but it's why I was confused.
