I'm guessing Talarico will win tonight and I hope he will inspire a huge turnout by Dems in the general election against the GQP white guy...

I know the polls don't really show this right now, but IMO, Talarico beats Paxton but loses narrowly to Cornyn. Paxton is Teflon, but this may be the matchup that best highlights his almost unlimited number of scandals and ethical breaches.

Tonight will be interesting in Texas. Latest polls I see has Paxton beating Cornyn and Talarico edging Crockett.

Remember 1994 and 2010. Things looked bad for the Dems this time of year. They were predicting big losses.

And it was worse than expected. Their position kept deteriorating. Trump is currently doing everything he can to undermine the GOP's midterm success. I think we are getting closer to a MAGA ideology collapse. Once MAGAs fully figure out that there was never anything there but Trump's ego, and they start to feel the consequences (i.e. inflation, wars, etc), they could turn on him like MTG.

If Paxton wins the nomination I think he's vulnerable even in Texas, as he's got a list of scandals a mile long and he'll be sure to drive up the Democratic and even independent vote. If Talarico wins he'll definitely have a chance to beat him, although I still think Paxton will be the favorite based on Texas not having elected a Democrat to the US Senate in thirty years. But if Crockett wins I just don't see her beating Paxton, sad as that is to say. And if Cornyn wins the GOP nomination then I just don't see Talarico or Crockett having a chance, although there does seem to be a real national upswelling of anti-Trump sentiment around the country, including Texas.
