Was watching some Talarico clips this afternoon. I know he’s still an underdog but that guy gives me so much hope. And it’s been a while since I’ve heard a campaign slogan better suited to the political climate and the culture of the place than “It’s time to start flipping tables.”

Issa has been horrible for a long stretch but at some point he couldn’t keep up with how awful you had to be to stay on the MAGA front page.
Issa could certainly keep up. The problem for him is that California Crockett-ed his district. He had no chance of winning re-election.

So I guess ol'Phil has reached the FAFO karma phase. Having said that, I still wouldn't rule out that s.o.b. somehow finding the votes/disqualifying the votes he needs to win. He's as ruthless and devious as they come in politics, he has no ethics whatsoever, and he's made many powerful and wealthy and influential allies in his career who would hate to see him leave the legislature, given all of the favors and goodies he's provided to them over the years.

So if Trump succeeds in overturning the 2020 election, does that mean he finished his 2nd term in 2024 and was not eligible to run for election in 2024, and if so will that mean that the Trump ticket was unduly elected and Kamala will be recognized as the true winner of the 2024 election ?

Go Arizona

In all fairness , he did say the quiet part out loud several years ago when he said if you make it easy to vote then republicans will never win another election.

Now he's just saying if the Voter Suppression Act passes then republicans will never lose another election.

Same premise... the only way a minority party can win elections and stay in power ruling the majority is if the vote is suppressed.

Special election for MTG’s seat — a jungle primary with like 20 candidates, top two will go to a runoff if no one gets over 50%:

Trump +37 district that a Republican is virtually certain to win in a runoff, so mostly about interest in whether the main dem over performs.

I believe this is MTG former district. Colton Moore is hated by all ((Pubs included) and is an idiot. Impressive showing by the Dem but in a run off has no chance. Still…

It's not wise to get up too much hope based on these small races and individual results, but if the Latino vote would show this kind of shift nationally and Latino voters turn out this November it would truly be a game changer in many states, and would likely put Texas in play.
