AA / Blackhawk Crash and other Crash and FAA News

The American Airlines jet collided with Blackhawk helicopter as it was about to land at National. Don’t know how many on board, but plane can carry around 70 people.
 
Anyone know how many people were on the plane? I’ve seen the number 64 mentioned but it didn’t provide a source for that info.
 
What a horrible accident. Hopefully there are survivors. Prayers to all on board.

I can’t wait to find out more about who exactly was on that plane. Seems super coincidental for the first US commercial flight that has crashed in 16 years to crash right outside the DC airport a week after inauguration, no? I’m not saying it’s a conspiracy and clearly we should all wait for more facts to come out before jumping to any conclusions, but this is weird. Especially if a US military helicopter was really involved.

From the video I saw, it also looked like the crash was entirely the helicopter’s fault. How the hell did the helicopter not see the plane? The helicopter also seemed to almost intentionally rise directly into the path of the plane as the plane was landing.

This further confirms my conviction to never get on a helicopter under any circumstances. They freak me out big time.

My God. Just seeing this news and the video. Highly, highly, highly doubtful there are survivors- there was a midair explosion and what was left of the plane and the helicopter both ended up in the Potomac River which is currently about 40°. May God bless their souls and provide peace and comfort to their families.

As someone who is on commercial flights weekly, I feel nauseous just thinking about this tragedy and would it likely means for 60–70+ families. I know I certainly take for granted how hard so many different people have to work to ensure that things like this don’t happen with more frequency.

I'm not saying this happened because of Biden's woke mind virus DEI liberal communist ideology, but people will connect the dots, and Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones, and Joe Rogan will help us know who to blame. Elmo and Vivek will create a meme shadow government to make us all safe.
