One perspective, seems to me a good one:

I don't have any background to assess how good this guy is, but his explanation seems thorough and makes a ton of sense.

If his analysis is correct, there was zero Tower error.

I don't think there's much to debate here. Unless he edited the audio, it paints a clear picture of what happened. He's speculating that the copter had eyes on a different craft, but whatever the reason, the copter fucked up and the tower did amazingly well. I would have completely lost my shit if I saw that collision, and they are doing their jobs as if nothing happened (i.e. what they should be doing). And there's no training for that shit either. They just watched dozens of people die and did their jobs.

In fact, everybody there seemed to do their jobs just fine except the copter.

Again, unless he edited the audio, but why would he?

I don't have any reason to believe any funny business has happened with the audio - I just like to hedge my statements when they are based on information that I can't independently confirm on my own (or through someone else)

I didn't mean to be criticizing you. I think we agree here, and the instinct to learn before spouting is a good one. And I don't think there's anything up with the audio either. Just a standard disclaimer.

No sweat - I certainly didn't take it as criticism

More disastrous things have happened in the last 11 days and 30 minutes than in the four years of Biden's presidency. Any MAGAs want to point to American airliners blown out of the sky by Army helicopters while Biden was in control?
"blown out of the sky"?

what? “blown out of the sky”? As if this or any flights that have concluded safely are directly attributable to a president?
