Again, you offer nothing in the way of proof. The “overwhelming” number of companies pulling away from DEI programs?

Define “overwhelming.” Let’s start there. You’ve got Mark Zuckerberg and Meta shifting based on the way the political winds blow. What else? Show me these massive shifts away from diversity, equality, and inclusion you are suddenly seeing in an “overwhelming” amount of companies.

You fell for the Republican propaganda. Congratulations-You’re as simple-minded as the rest of them.
Amazon, Ford, Walmart, John Deere, caterpillar, John Deere, Harley-Davidson, Molson Coors, Lowe's hardware, Brown Foreman. This was in the last few months.

Those are some pretty big companies that employ an awful lot of workers. Just doesn't seem to me that DEI is the right direction for the party. The trend seems to be moving away from it.

What is your definition of the word "overwhelming?"

And... what news sources are you going to consider legitimate?

Your schtick over the last 20 years has been to be nothing but a raging a-hole toward anyone that you don't agree with. You have boasted about NEVER voting for a member of the GOP regardless of office from POTUS to dog catcher.

You don't care about the facts. You just want to be a dick.

Here you go... here is a list with articles from different sources.

DEI is being rejected because it's a joke. It doesn't promote the most qualified, hire the most qualified.

It hires people that check boxes for the people who were most vital to the election of President Donald J. Trump.

People like you.

Thanks Wayne! You finally did something worthwhile.

How many of those changes came after the election?
They’re capitulating to MAGA extremism.

I don't know but I'm sure several. You could spin it either way. Companies hoping to gain favor with Trump, who I don't think really gets two shits about it other than helping him get elected, or companies seeing that an awful lot of Americans don't really care for the program.

Are they moving away from DEI? Or simply providing lip-service to appease the new administration while still keeping the core tenets of what DEI stands for in place?

The purpose of the DEI programs was to ensure that all races, genders, and sexual orientations were given a fair chance to succeed within a company. So when a company says, “We’re doing away with our DEI programs, and just concentrating on being a company that is inclusive to everyone,” is that truly moving away, or is it simply fulfilling the purpose of the DEI programs to begin with?

I think all of us that support DEI programs would like to get to a point where they are no longer needed. If a company has decided their DEI program is no longer necessary because all future hiring/staffing will be inclusive and equitable, it’s hardly a point in favor of DEI programs being bad, is it?

Again, you haven’t provided any actual proof that the companies you listed are moving “away” from the goals of DEI programs, as opposed to trying to separate themselves from the Republican-manufactured stigma that has been attached to them.

Does it speak more about the companies or the lack of substance that DEI stands for?

I mean if it was that vital that you implement DEI wouldn't it work regardless of who is in office?

Or maybe just maybe the companies were pandering to the Democrat Party and it's "woke agenda."

And before the peanut gallery jumps on the word "woke" and pretends they don't know what it means grow the F up. You do and you just want to pretend that it doesn't exist.

I don't know about the others but since the Coors family paid to start the Heritage Foundation and has been a source of funding for extreme right wing causes almost as long as they've made beer, I have no doubts that they didn't mind.

Have you ever worked at a company that espoused DEI, or implemented DEI yourself as a manager?

Yes... As a matter of fact I have. Especially in the last three years.

90% of our training, online and in person were DEI initiatives.

One block of training was done by a private firm they brought in and they basically told us that if you were a "straight, white, male" you didn't earn your position.

Sorry if you don't believe me but it's a fact.

Americans are sick of the BS. They spoke on November 5th. Bye Bye DEI...

Meritocracy should be the way this country is run and it will be.

See my post below the one you quoted. And then have someone much smarter than yourself explain it to you.

You’re an impotent, angry little troll. How sad that you can’t find another board of toothless, inbred, Trump-worshipping hemp seeds like yourself to post on instead of following libs from board to board.

Seriously, find some friends.

Here you are ladies and gentlemen..... the same schtick for 20+ years.

Can't refute the facts so what does Wayne do? Sling insults.

Speaking of friends... how many do you have???

I seem to remember quite a few years back that a few folks that actually know you said you are the same miserable prick in person as you are here.

Very telling.

Now run along and get some popcorn for tomorrow. It's going to be great... Enjoy Wayne... you of all people deserve four more years of President Trump more than anyone.

You helped elect him. Thanks again!!! Be proud and keep up the good fight!!

That's exactly what I'm saying. Are there racists and misogynists that voted for Trump? Sure. But the vast majority of them were going to vote for whatever R was on the ticket, just like 2020. But the persuadable middle ground is less likely to vote for or against someone because of their color or gender. In other words, Trump didn't win this one because that 10% is full of women haters.
No but he won because some of that 10% is full of women haters.

As a tech guy, you should understand multivariate analysis

LMAO...

sure thing lawdog.... you are the resident expert after super on what goes on in every aspect of everyone's life.

Funny you can't dispute the facts either....wonder why?

!!Oh... enjoy tomorrow please... it's going to be great!!!
Thanks for the compliment! I’m not the one spending my Sunday morning telling absurdly obvious lies on a message board, but hope you enjoy!

Lol, you’ve definitely got me confused with another poster, dumbass.

#1. I haven’t been on IC for 20 years. Closer to 8.

#2. I’ve never met a single person on IC in real-life, so your little story about people that say I’m miserable in person doesn’t hold any water.

You really are a pathetic little rube.

I believe that was your takeaway from that. I am also 100% it was not the actual message. Where DEI failed was assuming that the average white dude was not an idiot.
