Much larger point is:Hey do you remember earlier in the thread when you said American Eagle sold $300 million in jeans in one day then disappeared because you looked like such a tremendous idiot?
Thanks for adding 20 years to my actual age (I have no grandchildren). I’m old enough as it is so no need to exaggerate!Easy now, killer. She’s like 25. Do you typically find your granddaughters or their friends attractive? I guess Donald Trump really IS the perfect guy for you!
At least you're honest about it.Well, I've got bad news...I can't make myself be more empathetic any more than you can make yourself be less empathetic.
For many years now, I've been of the opinion that there are two personality traits that are very influential in whether someone is liberal or conservative. One of them is risk tolerance and the other is empathy.
I believe empathy is among the worst ways to make a decision. When you empathize with someone, you are putting yourself in their place. You are feeling their feelings. Their hurt is hurting you and, as a result, you are making a decision based on emotion, not reason.
It is so impossibly stupid to imagine that someone believes a company with $5billion in annual revenue did $300million in sales in a day. That would be nearly a full month's revenue in one day. There is quite literally no way. Id wager that American Eagle doesn't have enough on hand inventory nationwide to even fill $300Million in single day sales.I'm over here still laughing because it seems like ramrouser read one of the various reports that American Eagle added around $300 million in market cap in a day last week when its stock price jumped, and (1) somehow confused the increase in stock price with thinking they sold $300 million of jeans in one day (which is ludicrous), and (2) didn't notice that most of those stock gains have been erased in the past week.
At this point I certainly wouldn't trust his numbers about Jaguar's sales, because lord knows where he got them (ram never links any source for these random facts he states, probably because he gets them from, like, random Facebook posts).
And Belichicks relationship is completely gross too. At least, however, his is clearly a business relationship where rhe younger person is getting the far better end of the deal and not being taken advantage of. She has made BB look like an absolute fool. Thanks for adding 20 years to my actual age (I have no grandchildren). I’m old enough as it is so no need to exaggerate!
Also, no need to bring in Trump when we have Bill Belichick in our common orbit.
Actually, it’s quite weird coming from a party that is currently chanting, “buy American!”It's fucking hilarious watching the GOP get triggered by a fake "woke left" outrage that was manufactured almost entirely by the GOP. On the whole, nobody on the left gives a shit about Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle jeans commercial. I don't find it particularly offensive, nor did I find it particularly creative as a marketing tool. Yet we get a small handful of Tik Tok posts from a few online randos who don't like the "good jeans" phrase, and an offended professor making a weird comparison to eugenics, and suddenly the GOP is locking shields in front of Sydney Sweeney from an angry woke army that doesn't exist and simply doesn't care.
The right is so easily manipulated, and the sad thing is, they are now beginning to drag people like Bill Maher into their weird little subculture of being offended by people being offended. I wish one of Bill's guests would slap some sense into him and snap him out of it, but he seems incapable of realizing he's falling for the same shit he used to laugh at the GOP voters for believing. It's bizarre.
This is the wayIf anyone asked me the quickest way to achieving wealth, this is what I'd say: Find a product you can market. Any product, doesn't matter. Put out advertising for that product. Then plant some online randos that you hired to pose as outraged woke "influencers" to trash the product for any garden-variety grievance the right believes the left would have for that product. Then sit back and watch the right throw their money at that product and into your pockets.
Are you under the impression that people ever stopped doing ads with hot chicks?Much larger point is:
A completely un woke, retro ad featuring a beautiful white girl and a muscle car is wildly successful earning the company millions of $$$ (and a cultural phenomenon)……
Compared to Jaguar trying to rebrand with a woke/LGBT ad which tanked the sales of their cars.
The worm has turned.
I’ve had the same idea about a book……have some Trumplicans burn and/or ban it.If anyone asked me the quickest way to achieving wealth, this is what I'd say: Find a product you can market. I knew absolutely nothing about the story until I watched this earlier today. I was curious why there was an American Eagle thread on here but never even clicked on it until today. If anyone asked me the quickest way to achieving wealth, this is what I'd say: Find a product you can market.
