i hope not — hopefully they will be all behind the lines and not in a position for something like that to happen.

That said, this feels like a step being taken just to prove they can and to get people used to the idea for some future event when they expect to put marines in action on American streets.

Supposedly internal polling indicates they aren’t getting much return on Biden attacks (outside ravenous MAGA base) anymore — in part because the dissonance between claiming he was an evil super-villain and a mentally incompetent dotard (and possibly a clone-bot). From what I’ve read, the goal is to turn the focus on Biden staffers as people to punish and otherwise turn fire on current Democratic villains.

Biden’s cancer diagnosis and general frailty also makes him a tough target.

Trump will never get over his deep and seething hatred of Biden, but even he has updated his rhetoric to Biden being a helpless victim of deep state staffer pulling a Weekend at Bernie’s on America. It is why he loves the Autopen angle now.
