Angel Reese

I think part of the issue here, maybe not theel’s intention, is that a lot of MAGA types are using Angel Reese as an excuse to flaunt their racism.

So when someone rails on about how the leading rebounder in the league is a terrible player it has the look of that other agenda.

Declaring that she is a terrible player despite plenty of evidence to the contrary isn’t a great place to start.

I have not once mentioned Reese’s race or anything about her as a person. I just think she is a terrible basketball player. You are the one making it about something else.

White women are to be valorized and protected. When Clark talks shit, it’s just her being a fiery competitor. When Reese does it, she’s a disrespectful Black woman who doesn’t know her place. You’re playing into this whether you realize it or not.

We know critical thinking isn’t a strong suit of yours, but Jesus Christ, have some self respect and awareness.

The issue saying she’s terrible makes no sense. Two time All-American, all rookie, Tournament MOP, all star as a rookie shows she’s not terrible. It shows you might not watch a lot of women’s basketball. Go back and watch the rebound that Clark gets in her first game this season to get the triple double. She proceeds to drop a dime on her teammate and the teammate (for no reason) can’t catch the ball and drops it and it goes out of bounds. That happens constantly in the women’s game. Reese fits in with that. She’s a good player but women pmake women plays. It’s hard to watch.

Of course it it. She's real good and playing in a sport that's mostly black.

When Tiger came on the scene many folks pulled for him because he wasn't white in a white sport. Same with the Williams sisters. Just so happens, they were damn good. Near the best ever. But it's ok to have race as part of the factor with them? What kept people pulling so hard for them is their skill.

It seems the suggestion is that it's somehow racist to pull for Clark because she's white and really good at a sport dominated by blacks. People suck.
