Most WNBA post players are not going to shoot post shots at high percentages compared to NBA post players. Why? Almost none can dunk on a clean break-away. None can dunk a rebound aside from a RARE “dunk” - you know….a dunk in which the dunker barely gets the ball over the rim. A 1970’s high school dunk.
Not a single WNBA player can get a rebound and go back up and DUNK on the opposing team (see Dominique, James Worthy, Charles Barkley, Shawn Kemp, Hakeem, Rodman, Kareem, Ralph, the GOAT).
In the WNBA, post players are ground-bound players often dealing with tall or taller players for the first time in their careers.
Reese is only 6’3”. She’s going to have to develop an offensive post game.
Will she? We’ll see.
